Soccer got on hold, but Gol por Mexico didn’t. This program evolved to continue supporting those who needed the most, especially the medical staff that fought against COVID-19 and their children.

During 2020 more than 25 thousand vulnerable Mexicans were aided. Gol por Mexico adds more than 1.3 million recipients all over Mexico along 17 years.

We worked hand on hand with over 20 NGOs, with the commitment of creating opportunities to improve the quality of life or low-income people in Mexico. As a response to the emergency caused by the COVID-19, we launched the campaigns “Kits de protección Gol por México” which benefited 9,378 physicians and nurses and 370 of the sons and daughters of the medical staff who gave their life fighting against COVID-19.

We created a platform to register scholarship applications for medical staff, which had over 36 thousand visits.

During the health crisis, digital transformation gave us the chance to develop a strong team of sports commentators and soccer players from the Mexican Professional League to generate videos which have already over 3 million views.

UN Sustainable Development Goals

We promote Good Health and Well-being, Gender Equality, Zero Hunger and Quality Education, which are some of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. During 2020 Male Goal for Mexico supported topics related to health, education, living, nutrition and environment, while Goal for Mexico –Women supported Mexican women in topics related to health, empowerment and female protection.
